Snappers – Our most requested and sought after species, the perfect target for the 4 and 6 hour family fun type fishing trip. If you have children or less experienced anglers in your party these are the perfect fish to catch. It’s a lot of rod bending action and all the fish are delicious. We load up on Yellowtail, Mangrove and Lane snapper, while typically getting a few Mutton snappers. We only have a two day Red Snapper season, usually in July; but we load up on them when it is open. While snapper fishing, it’s also very common to catch Porgy, Yellow Jacks, Cero mackerel (in the winter), Trigger Fish and Red Grouper. We keep a live bait handy when we are Yellow tailing in the winter, Sailfish can swim into your chum line hunting the Ballyhoo that stack up in the chum!
