Reef – Reefs are natural breeding grounds and habit for a wide variety of fish. We have barrier reef line and “patch’ reefs from Key West to the Tortugas. All your snapper, (except Red snapper) and most of your grouper species can be found there. In the winter fish move from the deeper, colder waters up on the reef to warm up. Also in the winter the reefs are full of bait, Ballyhoo and Pilcards, which attract a whole array of fish looking for a meal. Sailfish, King and Cero mackerel will come up on the reef looking for these baits and we feed them one.
