Captain Hunter Ledbetter’s journey into the world of fishing began in his childhood days, exploring lakes and streams in Georgia. With over 30 years of experience in saltwater fishing, both offshore and inshore, Captain Hunter brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every expedition. After serving 30 years in the Marine Corps, he retired to Key West in 2011 to pursue his passion and establish Hunter SportFishing. As a Coast Guard credentialed 50-ton Captain, Hunter ensures safety and professionalism on every trip. Beyond fishing, he is also a certified PADI Open Water scuba instructor and underwater photographer. Whether you’re seeking scuba certification, lobster diving, or Lionfish hunting, Captain Hunter is your guide to aquatic adventures in Key West. Additionally, we proudly offer military discounts to all active duty, retired, and prior service veterans.

Where We're Fishing

The Florida Keys is truly a national treasure. This diverse ecosystem and marine environment allows us to fish a variety of areas for an almost limitless variety of fish. It is definitely one of the top 5 fishing destinations in the world. Step aboard our 2020 SeaHunter Floridian center console for an unparalleled fishing experience. Measuring 31 feet overall with a hull of 28 feet, powered by twin Yamaha 300 HP outboards, our vessel is equipped with a stand-through tower to enhance our offshore fishing capabilities. Complete with the latest electronics, navigation, radar, and sonar systems, the SeaHunter ensures a comfortable and productive journey for up to six anglers. Hunter Sportfishing is a licensed and insured charter operation, providing all necessary licenses, gear, and bait for your fishing excursion.
